Development Projects Initiatives by the UNDP Project

UNDP has been operating in Syria since 1962, supporting the national efforts for achieving sustainable human development and reducing poverty. UNDP works with the State Planning Commission, as its primary counterpart, and partners with the different line ministries, public sector institutions, non-governmental organizations, private sector organizations, as well as donors. UNDP provides advice and technical backstopping on different issues to support national planning and policy-making to strengthen economic and social reforms. Through the Global Compact initiative, the following development projects are being discussed and two of which were launched.

“The UN Global Compact provides an umbrella for the best use of private sector CSR activity. We are keen to remind them and provide them with the best ways to strategically organize their fundraising and contribution responses to the society’s needs.”

We need more private universities, more healthcare, more infrastructure.”
